Malaysian weddings are more often than not huge affairs. This is also reflected in the size of the bridal party which includes bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and the ring bearer.

How many groomsmen the groom chooses to have may depend on the following :

• The number of siblings and close friends he has whom he deems important enough to include.

• If he gets notice that the bridesmaids may be planning a bag of tricks for the groom and his entourage to perform.

• The number of bridesmaids that the bride has decided to appoint.

• The size of the guest list and the accompanying tasks necessary to manage it.
