Some questions to ask :
- How big is their team and how many people will there be at your event?
- Are the external vendors they collaborate with reliable?
- What ideas do they have as a backup plan, particularly for outdoor events?
- Will there be sketches to see or photos of previous work to view?

A few more tips :
- Link up your decorator with the catering sales team at your venue so that they can plan ahead and coordinate better.
- Run through the logistics of delivery and set-up to avoid delays on day of event.
- Confirm timeframe for tear down after event with your venue to avoid additional charges.
