Here’s the thing. An increasing number of engaged couples are hiring wedding planners. They do so because of some of the following reasons :

  • They are so busy at work that they can’t find the time to get into the nitty-gritty of planning their wedding.
  • They do not manage timelines and deadlines well.
  • The list of tasks to tackle seem too daunting.
  • They need someone to manage the planning process.

Hiring a wedding planner is one thing. Using them effectively is another. Here are some tips :

  • You’ve appointed a planner because of his or her experience and expertise. So, trust them.
  • You’ve got to let go. Let them do their job.
  • Believe that they have your best interests at heart.
  • When they tell you that you’ve got to make a decision on a particular matter, do so.
  • Know the boundaries. They are professionals. They are not here to do chores which are out of their scope of work.
  • Keep communicating with them on ideas, concerns etc.
  • Listen to their advice. They know the ins and outs and how to get the job done well and with the least amount of stress as possible.
  • Be punctual for appointments.
